At Gentle Care Support Services, we understand the diverse and complex needs you and your loved ones may require. We tailor our services so they are human-focused at the forefront, and our team members are dedicated to providing all of our clients with a quality service designed to empower and develop self-confidence.
As a registered NDIS provider we understand that needing to search for the support and care services you need can be a daunting and difficult job. So we are committed to continuing our ongoing effort to reduce some of the stresses related to finding support. We are also committed to advocating for the needs of our clients and their families.
At Gentle Care Support Services, we offer a wide range of disability support services in Brisbane that we can tailor so you can achieve the goals that matter to you, and you can be in charge of where your or your loved one’s NDIS funding is spent. Whether you are needing assistance with accessing mental health services, early intervention services, personal care services, assistance with independent living, or assistance building skills to learn to live independently – we can help.
NDIS stands for The National Disability Insurance Scheme and offers financial support to people with disabilities so they can pay for and access supports or services, help them build new skills and independence, pay for allied health appointments, access community support services, find employment etc. People with disability-related struggles can access these supports as well as others to help them with things they may be struggling with.
There are also other eligibility requirements. The client will need to be an Australian Resident, under 65 years old, over 7 years old, and require support for everyday living tasks such as communicating with others, regulating emotions and making positive relationships with people, regular household tasks and chores, maintaining and managing personal hygiene and health, remembering things etc.
If you or your loved one is over 65, they may be able to access other NDIS supports such as specific in home or residential aged care services.
If children under 7 need support, there are options for this as well. They may be eligible for the NDIS Early Intervention program.
The NDIS also offers dedicated support to allow Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with disabilities better access to support or disability services they may need.
For more information about eligibility, it may be best to visit the NDIS site directly at https://www.ndis.gov.au/.
At Gentle Care Support Services, we are dedicated to supporting people in any way we can, whether that be through assistance in accessing community services, accessing mental health services, developing the skills needed for independent living, assistance in finding employment, or setting people up with skilled and compassionate carers who fit seamlessly into the lives of our clients.
For our team, this means more to us than just a job, we are deeply passionate about the work we do and the care we provide to each and every one of our clients.
